I have subscribed to your newsletter and I am waiting for the TARS figures to become available. So i’m just wondering roughly when will you post a newsletter or something similar?

Dan, work on the action figure was interrupted by family illness and other responsibilities. But I was able to start up again a few days ago. The first model had some problems, so I started on a second model and it’s just about finished. If it’s up to snuff, I plan on producing the first run within the next 2 weeks. Thanks for your interest.

Myles, you didn’t miss the run. I’ve been delayed a bit. Although I have been experimenting with the mold and casting materials I plan to use to reproduce the figures. Stay tuned and if you want to get notified when they go on sale, sign up for the newsletter. Thanks for your interest!

Hello, I was interested in purchasing a Tars figure.
    Are these still available?

It seems the zip files for the TARS Action Figure Kit are broken, as when I download them they only show up as unopenable files and not zip folders.
Also, I’m curious why SAGN is one of the robot names, despite being neither seen nor alluded to in the movie. Is this just an homage to Carl Sagan in the same way KIPP is a reference to Kip Thorne?

Briggs, I checked the zip file and it contains the STL files. Do you have a program that can read that file type? You are correct about the SAGN name on the decal sheet. I though I would have some fun and create some custom robots with different names and finishes.

        Will do.

I managed to extract the files with 7-zip. I have no idea what the issue here was, as I have downloaded zip files before and since without issues. Anyway, the STL files look great, and I’m excited to have a complete model. Keep up the good work!

I believe I have signed up for the newsletter. How much longer are you thinking it’ll take to reproduce the Tars figure?
